If I lived in the area, It would be perfect for a Holiday gathering. We were all from the Minnesota and North Dakota. The beds and sheets were comfy, TV in every? room, although we never used any but the main one. The home feels like a cozy cabin in the woods, very peaceful and quiet. It was a little chilly at night so we didn't use the outdoor pool table. It is close to the landing in Branson, the roads at night had a couple of steep spots, but easy to navigate. The pictures of this home, don't do it justice. Often times the place is as is or smaller than the pictures show. Would have loved to use the canoes but we were too busy having fun together. We did have a few camp chairs that we brought and they came in handy. Fun to cook in, perfect fire pit with some wood was already there. (Plenty of spices AND coffee filters BTW) Large comfy couches for movie watching or having. The kitchen was WELL equipped with dual refrigeration/Freezer space, 2 Ovens, big family table for eating and game playing. It was spacious, with a great cozy cabin feel. This was a PERFECT place for gathering with my elderly Mother and siblings. If you stay there, see if you can spot the adorable hummingbird in the lodge. The main bedroom is more elaborate than the pictures show!Ĭommunication with the property owner was great! I had several questions (before and while there) and he was quick to cheerfully respond. Seven of us were using that bathroom, so sometimes we’d leave a water bottle outside the door when we were in there so others would know not to come in. The main bathroom downstairs has a pocket door that is hard to open and also no longer locks. The curtains are great at blocking out light. There is plenty of parking for at least 6-8 cars in a gravel area along the driveway.īED & BATH: The beds were very comfy and we all had plenty of linens and blankets. The grill worked great for our hotdogs and steaks. I don’t know if this is how it always is or if it’s a temporary thing. The view however, was not as good as I was expecting simply because the water was gross and dirty with stuff all over the top. The rocking chairs are peaceful and a great place to curl up in a blanket with a hot beverage. OUTSIDE: We wanted a secluded location and we got it! The covered deck is great! Even with it being December, the kids loved being out there running around and we had a couple billiard tournaments. Bring your own oil/butter/spray for greasing pans. There were lots of spices already there and even though coffee filters are not included, there were two opened packages, I assume from previous guests. Also - unlike a lot of places- they left a few cabinets empty so you could put all your food in there. Two coffee makers, two high chairs… they thought of everything. There are two crockpots that came in very handy! There is an additional fridge not (currently) pictured in the listing. Give yourself a little extra time when preparing food on the stovetop just because it may take a bit to get the burners going, and going without the igniter staying on. KITCHEN: The gas range burners are kind of picky, so be prepared for that. We loved all being able to sit down together for our meals and hang out in the large living room to play games and visit with one another. We had 20 people of all ages staying at this lodge, which was full of character and little details.
